This year is probably a season of anguish for many anime fans. Many releases have been delayed or suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Fortunately, there are still some animes for fans to look forward to. In addition to updating the Anisong playlist, we will focus on the introduction of these three anime opening theme songs!

Kaguya-sama Is Looking For AConfession Again! The Suzuki Duo Delivers a Mind-Blowing Theme Song

Following the box-office success of the live-action adaptation of this manga bestseller, the anime of "Kaguya-sama: Love Is War" returns for a second season. Netizens were rightfully worried that the new season’s airing would be delayed or even suspended.

Fortunately, the production team announced that the second season would broadcast as scheduled, and everyone heaved a sigh of relief.

The dazzling romantic warfare coupled with a hilarious plot constitutes the winning formula of this popular anime. After the collaboration with Rika Ihara, the former captain of Tomioka Dance Club, in the sweet opening "Love Dramatic" in the first season, "Japan's King of Love" Masayuki Suzuki returns with "DADDY! DADDY! DO!" for season two’s opening theme. This time, it is a duet with Suzuki Airi, who was previously the lead singer of J-POP group ℃-ute.

The official video had garneredmore than five million views on Youtube within a month of its release!

Masayuki Suzuki was humbled to have achieved this milestone. He even claimed to be a fresh newcomer in the world of Anisong and highly praised Airi Suzuki as the best candidate for this collaboration.

In response to the compliments, Airi Suzuki said in an interview with "The TV" that she had never expected to collaborate with such an established senior from the industry and was very nervous at the news of a duet with Masayuki Suzuki. If you’re ready for an unforgettable but mind-twisting relationship, the romance of the teenage couple is just about to unfold.

AOP opens the brilliant second season of Tsugumomo with Japanese Electro-Folk

Do you enjoy listening to lively electronic music with an oriental twist? All the members of the Japanese idol group AOP wear colourful modern kimono dresses, singing and dancing in the official music video of their latest single "Kaze fukeba tsuki no hate ni".

Call it a match made in heaven! The mashup of electropopandtraditional Japanese music complements drama's mythology. "Tsugu Tsugumomo" follows the misadventures of the protagonist Kazuya Kagami and Kiriha, who is a tsukumogami (ordinary objects which have developed souls over a long period of time) transformed from a white cherry blossom obi that Kazuya's mother left behind.

This is not the first time AOP have lent their voice to the opening theme song of an anime. The theme song "全力バタンキュー(Zenryoku Batankyū)" of the popular anime "Mr. Osomatsu" and "koinisakunazo, haraharato" of the mystery anime "Kyōto Teramachi Sanjō no Hōmuzu (Holmes of Kyoto)" was also performed by them.

The band's official Twitter page is filled with posts of the hottest hand-washing dance, where the members of AOP call on fans to protect themselves by washing their hands regularly. One of the members, Kei Tomoe, even held up "シャルモン(sharumon)" her family cat and waved its paws in the video shout-out. Many fans had left messages expressing their delight at the sight of the cat.
